This website was an undertaking of love for both the archival field and access to free, creative ways to share information online. This site exists in the context of hundreds of other sites made by hobbyists expressing themselves and creating their own records on the internet. These corners of the internet give me hope and drive me to expand my focus as an archivist and otherwise.
This site was hand-coded by me in HTML and CSS with the help of Phoenix Code, a free online software that saved my life during this project. Snippets of code and inspiration were taken from a variety of sites, all of which are listed on my reference page.

I am a graduate student in Information Science. My passions are in linguistics, anthropology, folklore, and special collections. I am fascinated by oral history and how we know what we know.
In my past, I was a graphic designer and have always considered myself an artist. I continue to craft, paint illuminations, work with textiles, and read as much as I have time for. I am also recently engaged, and we live with my our two cuddly pets, Tybalt and Gumbo.
Neocities is a web hosting service that brings back the fun, creativity, and personal touch of the early web. It's a modern take on GeoCities, encouraging users to hand-code their own sites in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript without relying on templated platforms.
